On September 21, 2012 the ASMBA STAR Foundation is hosting our 2nd Annual "Swinging Fore Our Heroes" Golf Classic at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links in Nashville TN. This is our main charity fundraiser for 2012 in which all net proceeds will go directly toward supporting the military community. Our parent organization, the Armed Services Mutual Benefit Association a veterans organization provides the Foundation with in-kind support by covering personnel costs along with administrative/overhead expenses.
As a 501 (c) (3) public military charity, our Foundation’s core purpose is to provide financial support aimed at improving the “quality of life” of our active duty military, wounded warriors, assisting veterans and their families, and the military community by attempting to fill those needs unmet by the U. S. Government.
This year through our key charity event at Gaylord Springs Golf Links, we hope to raise $30,000 which will directly support wounded warriors and their families who are dealing directly with the physical and mental disabilities that the ravages of war bring. Last year at our inaugural "Swinging Fore Our Heroes" event at the Fort Sam Houston GC in San Antonio TX, we were honored to host 7 wounded warriors that made up a field of 80 participants.
Participants can expect a great round of golf with cart, a grab-and-go breakfast, an appetizing awards luncheon buffet, plenty of snacks, a player gift package, and an opportunity to compete for some terrific door prizes. Most of all, you’ll know that you are contributing to a really great cause…supporting our active duty military, wounded warriors, veterans and their families, and the military community!
We have a number of sponsorship opportunities available to consider. If you would like to learn more about the ASMBA STAR Foundation, I would encourage you to please visit our user friendly website at ASMBA STAR Foundation . However, if you desire more in-depth information about the Swinging Fore Our Heroes Golf Classic, or the ASMBA STAR Foundation and the level of impact we are having in the military community, please call us at (615) 851-0800, or toll-free at (800) 251-8434.
Thank you in advance for your support of the military community!

My father is a veteran during the Faulklin wars. He loved playing golf and practicing at the shooting range. He's in an electric wheelchairsright now so its hard for him to play. I wish I could do something about that considering all he's sacrificed.
